City of San Fernando, Philippines – Talete king Panyulung Kapampangan, Inc. (TPKI) inaugurated its newest business center in San Jose, City of San Fernando, last October 30, 2010 and at the same time celebrated it's 23rd year Anniversary Celebration.

Atty. Avelino C. Gorospe, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TPKI, led the inauguration of the three-storey TPKI Business Center at Alfredo G. Castro, Sr. Boulevard, Greenville Subdivision, San Jose, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The facility will serve as the Head Office and City of San Fernando Unit Office and the venue for training and development of microfinance programs.

TPKI was established in 1987 as a social development institute to address growing poverty incidence in Pampanga and in other depressed communities. TPKI pursues a holistic community development approach that is rooted on a strong belief in the capacity of the community to overcome poverty.

The new business center is the latest addition to its endless effort to bring micro-finance closer to the marginalized sector. TPKI now has five branches and five unit offices committed to build sustainable financial and capacity-building institutions by socially and economically challenged entrepreneurs.

The Board of Trustees of TKPI admits that it is of utmost importance that they establish satellite offices all over Pampanga and nearby provinces to realize its vision of helping the poor and alleviate poverty. TKPI has not stopped devising ways and programs to train people on livelihood and lending assistance to help them start their journey to a debt-free life.

The TKPI’s Board of Trustees believes that getting nearer the people is the best way to fulfill its vision. “Unless we go out, we will never hear the sound of churning stomachs and understand the meaning of poverty. Only then, we will be able to help the poor,” Atty. Gorospe explained. “The office was dedicated as an extension of TPKI’s helping hand,” he concluded.
